Keeping People Connected: A nuts-and-bolts toolkit for engaging residents, businesses, and property owners in problem-solving, decision-making and community-building is a resource that you can use in your work to help provide helpful, practical tips when engaging with the public. The toolkit starts with diagnostic tools that enable you to begin diagnosing challenges and enables you to determine the community’s starting place. The engagement strategies provides real world, practical examples of strategies that you can customize and utilize to engage the public.

The toolkit can be used as a self-guided resource or it can be used with the assistance of the Public Engagement team at Public Agenda. Public Agenda can provide assistance with:

  • Picking diagnostic tools and interpreting the results
  • Creating an overall engagement strategy
  • Designing and facilitating a big event
  • Assessment and evaluation of events as well as determining next steps

Do not hesitate to contact us with questions on the toolkit or how we can help you use it. Additionally, we would love to hear how these tools are working for you and what you have accomplished.
