For decades, Public Agenda has helped foster progress on higher education affordability and productivity, achievement gaps, community college completion, competency-based education, use of technology, and other cutting-edge issues. We were a founding member of the Achieving the Dream community college network; we partnered with the University of Texas at Austin to help facilitate a consortium of colleges working on student success, and we have published dozens of influential higher education studies. 

One example of our recent higher education research is A Major Step: What Adults Without Degrees Say About Going (Back) to College, which offers insight into why some adults are considering going (back) to college and the challenges they think they’ll face once they enroll.
