Tami Longaberger is a long-time chief executive and democracy advocate, working to encourage personal development from Ohio to Tunisia to Ukraine.
She is a former chief executive of a privately-held, family company, the Longaberger organization, which specialized in hand-crafted baskets and other home and lifestyle products, with broad experience managing innovation and change in a rapidly evolving marketplace. She has focused on building consensus on innovative marketing including a national sales force, major promotions, wider distribution and creative merchandising. She also spearheaded growth through product innovation that focused on customer needs and preferences. She continues to serve as President and Member of the Board of the Longaberger Family Foundation, providing visionary leadership to promote the Foundation's mandate to support quality of life issues.
She serves as a Board member of the International Republican Institute (IRI), a Washington, D.C.-based organization dedicated to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide. She leads its Arab Women’s Leadership Institute and has worked on IRI Election Observation teams to Georgia, Jordan, Tunisia, Ghana and Ukraine.
Ms. Longaberger is founder and CEO of consulting firm Nikash LLC, named for an Arabic term for the goal of arriving at a conclusion or a decision at the end of a conversation, with clients ranging from cyber security investors to social media companies.
She is active with The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.
Ms. Longaberger, an Ohio native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University and is the former Chair of the Ohio State Board of Trustees.
