OUR STAFF | ASSOCIATE, HIGHER EDUCATION & WORKFORCE ENGAGEMENT
Madison Gordon is an Associate with the Higher Education & Workforce Engagement team at Public Agenda. In this role she supports the many important projects in the department primarily through project management and qualitative research.
Madison graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in Youth Justice Policy. She wrote her culminating thesis on racially disproportionate punishment of young people in New York City, providing tangible recommendations to advocates and policymakers. Madison also worked as a research assistant to Professor David Kirp at the Goldman School for Public Policy, wherein she researched effective retention strategies for 1st-year students across institution types. While at UC Berkeley, Madison was also involved in student government and in her role she championed student mental health specifically through the creation, campaign, and oversight of a 30 year, $10M annual student wellness fee.
Prior to attending UC Berkeley, Madison served as a tutor, mentor, and in-class support for elementary school students with City Year New York. Madisonís interests include education, traveling, and working towards a more just society.
