OUR STAFF | DIRECTOR OF DONOR DEVELOPMENT
Chandler Bazemore, Director of Donor Development, works to create a community of engaged donors committed to furthering Public Agenda's mission.
With over 15 years of development experience, Chandler has developed new funding streams, expanded existing donor pools to include women and people of color, and created and managed robust volunteer opportunities. Social justice causes that address the needs of disenfranchised and disconnected communities have long been a passion of Chandler's, and he has raised funds at the Environmental Defense Fund for environmental sustainability, community organizing at the North Star Fund, educational opportunities for youth of color at A Better Chance and The Oliver Program, and, most recently, at the Hetrick-Martin Institute to support at-risk LGBT youth.
Chandler believes that breaking down the barriers to advancement that impact us all requires giving everyone a voice in the decisions that affect their lives, and that effecting positive change requires broad partnerships that reach across the issues that typically divide us.
Chandler holds a bachelor's degree in History from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a CORO Program Fellow.
