New Traditional Student Voices

In our research for the report A Major Step: What Adults Think About Going (Back) to College, we conducted three focus groups with 18- to 55-year-olds who had graduated from high school and were not currently enrolled in a postsecondary educational program but were looking to enroll in a degree or certificate program within the next two years. We sat down with some of the participants to record what they had to say and to better understand their motivations, expectations, strategies and concerns as they considered their higher education options.

Click below for the first of the three videos to hear what some "adult prospective students" had to say.
