Michelle Conway

Michelle Brown-Conway is a skilled financial professional with over twenty years of experience in diverse industries. Michelle is responsible for monthly accounting functions. Using her expertise in Blackbaud products, Michelle also trains and guides the Development team in the utilization of Raiser's Edge.

Michelle started her career at Ernst & Young LLP and moved on to private industries such as Gannett Suburban Newspapers and Macy's Department Store. Even though most of Michelle's experience has been in for-profit industries, her most rewarding work experiences took place in nonprofit organizations such as Abyssinian Development Corporation and Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

Michelle enjoys teaching and has been able to combine that with her accounting skills by holding various training sessions in the finance department at the Gannett Suburban Newspapers, teaching accounting classes at the College of New Rochelle, and finally, teaching on-line and on-site courses to users of Blackbaud products.

While Michelle's professional efforts tend to focus on accounting and education, she enjoys volunteering at various charities. Her two passions are increasing cancer research (she raises funds for Susan Komen, Avon Breast Cancer, and American Cancer Society) and making a difference in children's lives (she was a mentor at NFTE, a Sunday school teacher, a High School tutor and is currently a Girl Scout Leader).

Michelle earned a Master of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary's College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York Institute of Technology.
