Jennifer Orellana

Jennifer provides project coordination and logistical support for the Public Engagement team.

Prior to Public Agenda, Jennifer worked at The New Jewish Home, a New York-based senior health care system, supporting the head of Corporate Human Resources and providing project management for two key initiatives at the organization. In this capacity, Jennifer oversaw the transition of the hospital system’s 1500+ policies from paper manuals to a digital repository over the course of a year. She also managed the organization’s Affirmative Action compliance program, working with a team that included the head’s of each HR department and an analyst, to ensure that hiring and compensation were equitable. Jennifer also spent time in the President’s office at The New School, the legendary progressive university founded in 1919, providing executive and operational support, and serving on the Commencement Committee. Both of these New York City organizations provided Jennifer rich experiences engaging with diverse populations.

Jennifer is currently completing a BA in Communication and Media, with a minor in Sociology, at the CUNY School for Professional Studies.
