Lights On!

We've been spending a lot of time living with the problems of energy and climate change, and these blog posts are our way of asking the questions that must be answered, and making sense of the ideas being debated on how to fuel the future. Read on, buy the book, and join in with your comments – because no matter what formula's adopted, it won't be real unless we all work together.

Regarding wind and solar storage:

Just finished the book, unless I missed it, I didn't see anything about Pumped Storage/compressed air to be mixed with natural gas later for more efficient use. Also, nothing about pumping one body of water up to another during low energy use, high supply and generating power with that water when supplies are short....

Thanks, Jeff

I went in London in march last year from Italy. I bought and i read that book. In Italy we are in trouble with energy too, especially now with Libian uprising, but there isn't a wide pubblic discussion about that at every level, neither normal people nor expert people. We are going to buy 4th nuclear plant technology from France. The sole pubblic forum for pubblic debate is been punished by government authority because of its pro nuclear point of view.
