Ann Kirschner
Dr. Ann Kirschner is the University Dean of the CUNY Honors College. She began her career as a lecturer in Victorian literature at Princeton University, where she earned a Ph.D. in English.
She is the author of Sala's Gift, the story of her mother's wartime rescue of letters from Nazi labor camps. As a digital media entrepreneur, she assisted Public Agenda with its online strategy in 2006 and was responsible for introducing new media to the National Football League, founding NFL.com, among other web sites. She also created Columbia University's online education company, Fathom, the first interactive knowledge network associated with leading educational and cultural institutions.
A frequent contributor to conferences and publications on higher education and interactive media, Kirschner was named one of New York Magazine's "Millennium New Yorkers" and honored as a distinguished graduate of Princeton University.
She serves on the board of directors of the Topps Company and the Jewish Women's Archive, and on the advisory boards of the Princeton University English Department advisory board and mouse, a nonprofit which works to create technology-based ways to help underserved students succeed in today's information society.
