Lara Birnback
Since 2003, Lara has worked on the development and management of all our public engagement initiatives. On many projects she conducts fieldwork as well, including research, training and strategic planning with project partners. She is currently exploring possibilities for new public engagement initiatives and partnerships internationally.
Prior to coming to Public Agenda, Lara worked on civil society development in Central Europe and the Balkans. She received a BA with honors in International Development from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. In 1996, Lara was a Fulbright scholar in Budapest, Hungary, where she studied the effects of changes in post-communist social policy on women and families.
