Michael oversees the continued development and content-management of Public Agenda's website, as well as assist the organization more generally in the creation, formatting, and management of its presentational media. He also works closely with I/T staff and consultants in ensuring our technological infrastructure continues to meet Public Agenda's growing I/T needs. Michaelís background in web development has given him an edge up on the increasing confluence of media and emerging internet-based technologies.
His work in the private sector included developing a content management system along with a handful of other programmers for the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation. He has also worked in the television and film industry as a film editor. But heís most proud of his work in the nonprofit sector, having first started as a proposal writer for the then-fledgling Hispanic Federation (1990), and then as a technology consultant for the Fund for the City of New York and The United Way of New York City.
Michael received a BA in English from Hunter College (CUNY), and studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA., three years prior. He is an avid fan of music and film, and currently lives in East Harlem, New York City.
