Madison Gordon

Madison Gordon is a Project Coordinator for Higher Education and Workforce Programs at Public Agenda. In this role she supports the many important projects undertaken by the Higher Education team including administrative and event logistics.

Madison graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in Youth Justice Policy. She wrote her culminating thesis on racially disproportionate punishment of young people in New York City, providing tangible recommendations to advocates and policymakers on solutions moving forward. While at UC Berkeley, Madison was involved in student government where she served as one of 25 elected representatives for the student body. In this role she championed student mental health specifically through the creation, campaign, and oversight of a multi-million dollar annual student wellness fee, which, among other things, expanded the hours of operation of the universityís health clinic to seven days a week.

Prior to attending UC Berkeley, Madison served as a Corps Member with City Year New York. In this role she acted as a tutor, in-class supporter, and mentor to the students of PS 83 in East Harlem. Madisonís interests include education, travelling, and working towards a more just society.
