
Colman Durkee is the Research Assistant for Public Agenda's public engagement department. Colman conducts project background research, as well as qualitative research for engagement projects.
Prior to joining Public Agenda, Colman worked at the Sunset Park Promise Neighborhood, a project sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. Working in partnership development, he built community participation in this health and education initiative, conducting outreach to neighborhood organizations and members of the lively and diverse Sunset Park community. He helped lead focus groups, forums, surveys and community planning meetings to assess neighborhood health and education indicators.
Colman holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College where he studied political theory. He is interested in theories of justice, Hegel and recognition.
