As if anyone needed proof that immigration will remain a major issue, a new international survey reports that some 700 million people worldwide say they would move to another country if they could. Not surprisingly, the largest single group, one-quarter, say their first choice would be to come to the United States.

More Support For Nuclear Energy

A Gallup poll shows support for nuclear energy has reached a new high of 59 percent, with 27 percent saying they “strongly” favor it. But Americans are still divided about issues of safety when it comes to nuclear power. In a 2008 poll, about half saw it as a safe source of energy, but the same number did not want a nuclear plant built near their home.
