The Lumina foundation spearheaded the creation of the Achieving the Dream Initiative and worked with other philanthropic organizations to sponsor programs in 85 colleges across the nation. The Lumina foundation is also funding Public Agenda's and MDC's pilot program for community engagement for student success.
