Will Friedman Named President of Public Agenda

Will Friedman has been named to succeed Ruth A. Wooden as president of Public Agenda, the Board of Directors announced. Dr. Friedman, currently chief operating officer, will become president effective January 1, 2011. He has been affiliated with the organization since 1994. In 1997 he founded Public Agenda’s Public Engagement department, and in 2006 led the establishment of the Center for Advances in Public Engagement. He's also the author of numerous papers, and with Public Agenda founder Dan Yankelovich is co-editor of the upcoming book, "Toward Wiser Public Judgment," to be published in February 2011 by Vanderbilt University Press.
