Iraqi Government Says U.S. Forces Could Leave in 2010
July, 2008

Iraqi government leaders now say they hope U.S. forces will be able to leave in 2010. The Iraqi announcement, timed to coincide with the visit of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, comes after a week of conflicting statements and a few days after President Bush said he would consider a "general time horizon" for withdrawal of U.S. troops.
